The new Fallen London agents system is set to launch next month to celebrate the game’s 15th birthday. The feature will be a permanent addition to the game.

As described on the game’s official website, agents will be ‘capable retainers’ that will gladly take care of business on the player’s behalf.
Players will be able to hire agents of different types, all with their own skills. Users will also be able to equip them with items from their own inventory.
The Fallen London agents update launches May 6th.
Agents can be sent out on ‘Plots’. Plots take place in parallel to your everyday play: as you spend actions on other things, the chosen plot (for the agent) advances.
Once a plot concludes for an agent, the player will receive a report and gain any of the material rewards. Below are more details from the Failbetter Games website:
Engage the Luckless Zailor, Clay Breaker and Wily Bathyphile in the first round of Plots, each of which has a nautical theme. Future Agents and Plots will concern themselves with other matters.
You’ll need to have achieved tier-two Person of Some Importance status to access Agents when they arrive on Tuesday the 6th of May (Whitsun follows on the 8th).
If you haven’t already, Fallen London is a must-play for any interactive fiction RPG fans. It’s a Lovecraftian-inspired text-based browser game with over 15 years’ worth of content.
The best part? The game is also free! It’s playable on any device that has access to a browser. It also has a responsive user interface for mobile devices. Play Fallen London now.
