Warhammer Words of Vengeance Typing Game Shadow-Dropped!

Words of Vengeance is the newest addition to the Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun universe. It adds a new typing twist to the dark sci-fi boomer shooter gameplay.

Check out the official launch trailer!

Words of Vengeance is free-to-play and available now.

The game was shadow-dropped on Steam as part of a series of announcements made in the latest Warhammer Skulls Showcase, where it was shown alongside the upcoming Boltgun 2.

If you’re a huge fan of the Warhammer Boltgun series, the first game is currently on sale! The second game is set to launch in 2026.

Word of Vengeance follows in the footsteps of titles like DEAD LETTER DEPT. Players will need to accurately (and quickly) type on-screen prompts to execute actions and defeat enemies.

Typing the wrong letter can be disastrous.

The game is set in the world of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and features the same pixelated 3D aesthetic. You can also expect plenty of blood and violence… As long as you have great WPM (Words Per Minute).

The Mechanicum of Mars have gifted you a blessed new weapon – a keyboard! Brutally decimate hordes of daemonic scum with every keystroke, in this fast-paced rail shooter. None can stand against the might of your WPM!

The game’s levels are also randomised, so no two playthroughs are unique. The words and phrases are all randomly generated from Warhammer 40,000 lore.

There are also 4 difficulty options for each level in-game. It’s a great way to brush up on your typing skills.

The reception so far has been positive. The game on Steam is currently sitting at ‘Very Positive’ with over 700 reviews.

You can play Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance by heading over to the game’s Steam page.

If you love the idea of typing-based games, we recommend checking out the recently released DEAD LETTER DEPT. If you’ve seen the Apple TV series ‘Severance’, the vibes are very similar, focusing on the corporate horror aspect.

Similarly, The Typing of the Dead is an absolute classic typing game. It still holds up well today and has plenty of historic value for the genre.
